In conventional screw-nut assemblies, when the axial clearance is reduced, the driving torque becomes excessive and the operation is not smooth. However, the axial clearance of the AHTC precision ball screw can be reduced to zero by preloading, and light and smooth operation can still be achieved. Therefore, low torque and high rigidity can be obtained at the same time. The AHTC ball screw has a Gothic arched raceway profile, which makes it possible to achieve these conditions.
